Today,
our good friend, Lew Davidson went to be with his Lord
and Savior, Jesus Christ. Lew and his wife, Sal have
been wonderful friends and a blessing to our family.
Lew has a source of inspiration and mentor to me in
putting this website together. Lew lived his life for
his Lord and his family and always considered it an
honor to have served his country on his tour of duty
on the USS Idaho. Lew will be greatly missed. Our thoughts
and prayers are with Lew's family.

Message
from Lew's son, Ray Davidson:
I
wanted to send a message for my father, Lewis Davidson
to his Internet friends. He passed away peacefully at
his home today on Thanksgiving with his family surrounding
him. I have the priviledge to mourn his passing. Recently
I asked him about certain wishes he had. One of them
was to notify his family and friends on his email address
book. As many of you are aware, he wrote articles and
was in touch with various people regarding his service
in the navy during WWII. My father stands as a testament
to what courage is truly all about. He was a "what
you see is what you get" person. His wife Sally
was at his side when he passed away.
He asked that I send you all an email of his passing
to inform you. He wanted each and everyone of you to
know it was a pleasant experience. Thanks for your thoughts
and prayers as well as your friendship to my dad. His
funeral is tentatively scheduled next Tuesday, November
29, at 2:00 at Doeppenschimdt Funeral Home, 189 N. Seguin
Ave, New Braunfels, Texas.
On behalf of my family, thanks again for your friendships
to my dad. I can say that his learning the Internet
at an advanced age was quite an accomplishment for him.
Your frendships, emails and questions to him all contributed
to my father having additional time in life to enjoy
these things. They enriched him and truly prolonged
his life in several ways. He goes now to be with his
Lord and is at peace.
Thank you,
Ray
Davidson
